Genevieve Tawiah (I’m Gen for short)
Lead Performance and Vocal Physio 👋

Wheres she from?

Midlands – Derby. I studied up in Manchester – Graduated back in 2015

Experience

I’ve worked in a fair amount of different settings – and all of the experience caters the knowledge I give to my clients:

I started out as a Sports Massage therapist during study- before moving to work as an NHS physio

Then I swooped into the private sector with the below:

  • Physiotherapy: in a variety of private clinic settings – insurance, pre-/post op, general msk, (paediatrics only 16-18 year old sports/dance injuries)

  • Performing Arts: a number of West end Shows, Theatre Tours, support for Vocalists on tour, Working in Performing arts schools or supporting Dance collectives

  • Sports: supporting onsite for various football teams; Badminton England, Swim Wales/Olympic Qualifiers; numerous running events. And supporting sporting professionals in clinic

  • TV: Strictly Come Dancing and Netflix support

I do this job to help people learn more about themselves, and to facilitate them walking into a better more supported version of their lives where possible – and what a privilege that is.

I’ve a background in the arts sector myself with a strong interest in dance, music and sports and I love a bit of variety so I assess and treat a range of issues in clinic.

Jarryd Ferriera
Performance Physio

Where he’s from:

Johannesburg, South Africa, and graduated as a Physiotherapist at the end of 2016.

I’ve been living in London since the start of 2018 and I’m still loving it.

Experience

I’ve worked in public and private healthcare settings in South Africa, dealing with patients across several fields of Physiotherapy.

Since moving to London I have developed a broad range of experience as a physiotherapist

  • In-patient rehabilitation units; community rehabilitation services;

  • GP surgeries - working as a First Contact Practitioner

  • and private musculoskeletal practices

The variety has allowed me to build strong clinical expertise in musculoskeletal assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.

A career highlight for me was working as a physiotherapist at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where I supported elite athletes in Judo, Wrestling, and Rugby Sevens, both within the athletes’ village and during training sessions. I also worked in the medical team at the 2025 London Marathon, assessing, treating, and supporting runners along the route.

I like to take a person-centred approach to treating sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, and pre/post-surgical rehabilitation. In my practice, I try to prioritise understanding each individual’s goals and lifestyle, ensuring that rehabilitation is tailored, practical, and focussed on helping each person return confidently to the activities they love.

When I’m not working, I keep myself busy with swimming, running, hiking, visiting art galleries and exhibitions, drawing, attending theatre performances, and making the most of everything London has to offer.
